New Guinea Wealth Item, appears to be shell covered remains of 1940's canvas military bag, carefully attached shells and pigment on front, bound edges, old eroded metal fasteners on back,

Probably Morobe Province, Kabwum Valley, New Guinea.

From east coast Anthropologist's collection, taking item used possibly as cargo cult, or to capture magic of the military and adding shells to use as wealth or trade item,
